St. Louis, about 3-4 hours from the border of Arkansas. My father-in-law used to bootleg through Arkansas all the time because of their dry county crap.

It's a good thing you didn't work for T-mobile customer service or I'd be * at you right now about how I get no * service here. :|

If I were an agent for T-mobile, I would say, "I certainly apologize for the inconvenience, but the price is certainly something to consider, and we can look at where you live to see if we serve your area or not."

We would then check our map and say either "Yep, you're covered."

or

"nope, not covered, we'll allow you to get rid of your contract for free."

But if I were a person, I'd say, "Silly woman, go with sprint if you want some more service, or verizon is you want a * more service. OR - AT&T if you want to try and put an AT&T sim card in our T-Mobile phone and see if you can save yourself from a contract with them."

Or I'd say "I'm sorry, I had T-Mobile 30 minutes east of the Longview/Tyler area of Dallas for three years, and I feel your pain!" which is TOTALLY true. I use sprint now, but I'm in the St. Louis area, I got 3g with T-mobile here, but sprint is cheaper for me. CDMA tends to have better results in the US against GSM, in my opinion. That and you can usually roam off of Verizon towers with Sprint. I'm a little toasted off of some beer right now, so forgive spelling/grammar.

Sike oh, I have NO idea where you live from the info you gavem e, but St. Louis is a fun city for the most part. You poor, pathetic Arkansas-liver. I give you my sympathies and pray you should find shelter in a better state soon.

Ahahaha, you have word censoring turned on and my *' looks hilarious with asterisks in there.

But the infuriating bit is that my phone keeps telling me I have full bars, but 99% of my calls are being dropped in the first minute. The problem is that I'm still bumming off my family's plan, which itself is grandfathered in because T-mobile doesn't actually offer it anymore. I don't use the phone enough to want to get my own plan, but that doesn't mean dropped calls matter any less. ;\

May need to just suck it up and get on my own plan with a different provider, but fie.

If you do get your old plan, but aren't very picky about your phone, check out the Straight Talk plan. They rent out their towers to Verizon. You can even get an Android phone for it, so really, they have everything you need as far as phones, outside of things like iOS.

For $45 a month you can get unlimited everything, including calls to 411, and since they're renting towers from Verizon, there should be (at least) fewer charges for taxes on those towers, since the company doesn't own them. I'd check it out at your local wally world to see what's up.

Oh, also...heh...

It could be that their towers are *, or they're * you over by limited your *, which makes no sense whatsoever considering that...well...you're just making calls. But who knows, T-Mobile is German. Never trust a German.

I recently moved, so yeah, I apparently I live in a pocket of no service, though it was fine the first month I was here. Meh.

Not too keen on forking over $45/mo for something new right now though. Blah phones blah. If I didn't need it for work, I probably wouldn't care 'cause no one ever calls me outside work anyway and I can use Google Voice to make calls out.

It's better than a lot of the other plans available. But I understand that the cost is relatively ridiculous if you only use the phone for work. But hey, you've gotta do what you've gotta do, right? Such is life, a big pain in the *.

What have you been doing for a living?

I draw pictures and * and hawk my goods to the new generation of otaku.
